Election & Voter Information

Voter Registration

U.S. citizens 18 years of age and older are eligible to vote, provided they are properly registered. All voter registration is done by mail. Forms are available at the Town Clerk's Office, and may be picked up in person or will be mailed upon request.

The registration form must be completed and mailed to:

Absentee Ballots

Applying for an absentee ballot is a two-step process. The application forms are available from either the Board of Elections and/or from the Town Clerk's Office.

The application form must be completed and mailed to:

The Board of Elections will then mail the ballot to you. The ballot then must be filled out and returned before the deadline specified by the Board of Elections.

Election Workers

Each year the Livingston County Board of Elections appoints and trains elections workers to work at the Town polling locations during the fall elections. If you would like to serve your fellow residents as an Election Inspector, please contact the Livingston County Board of Elections @ (585) 243 - 7090. Pay is determined by the Board of Elections per day and inspectors are expected to work a 16-hour day (5:30 AM – 9:30 PM). Assignment is contingent upon positions being available.

Nunda is comprised of 2 voting districts and takes place at at their respective locations:

District # 1 - Nunda Fire Department, 4 South State Street, Nunda
District # 2 - Dalton United Methodist Church, 10074 State Street, Dalton
