NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT
TOWN OF NUNDA
Notice is hereby given that I, Tamara McCallum, the undersigned Collector of Taxes in and for the Town of Nunda, have received the tax rolls and warrant for the collection of taxes for 2024.
Taxes may be paid in the following manner:
- In-person payments will be collected at the Government Center, 4 Massachusetts St., Nunda, during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Wednesday and Friday, 8:00 AM until 2:30 PM. Saturday 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
- Mailed payments should be made payable to Tamara McCallum, Tax Collector and sent to PO Box 699, Nunda, NY 14517.
- For your convenience, there is a locked drop box located outside the Government Center front door.
There is no penalty if postmarked by January 31, 2024. All taxes received after that date shall incur a 1% penalty for postmark on or before February 29, 2024: 2% penalty, for postmark on or before March 31, 2024.
Pursuant to Section 987 of the Real Property Tax Law, a delinquent notice will be mailed on or after the thirty-first day following the expiration of the period of interest-free payment of taxes. The law mandates that the expense of mailing such notice shall be an additional two dollars ($2) against the parcel. Further Notice: pursuant to the provisions of law, any payments in person after April 1, 2024, or any payment postmarked after March 31st, 2024, are payable to the County Treasurer plus 5% and $2.00 and will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Livingston on the 2nd day of April 2024.
